Equine Rehabilitation

Maui Meadow Farm offers equine rehabilitation. Owners and staff specialize in rehabilitating major injuries as well as offer post-op care. Maui Meadow Farm works closely with veterinarians from New Bolton Center, Mid-Atlantic Equine, etc. as well as each horse's owner to form and closely monitor a successful rehabilitation plan. The facility offers full service rehabilitation through stall rest, aquatic therapy (swimming), magnawave, cryotherapy and more.

Rehabilitation Services

  • One full stall cleaned daily

  • Horse fed in accordance to owner's wishes, including choice of grain, administering owner provided supplements

  • Medications given- including oral or injectable. 

  • Equipment & Blanket Changes as needed

  • Bandage Changes

  • Designated rehabilitation plan honored such as hand walking, round pen turn out, regular turn out, complete stall rest, etc.

  • Grooming Daily

  • Staff will schedule and attend to hold for veterinarian/therapy appointments and farrier appointments.

  • Absolute full service

  • We cater to out of state/out of country clientele

Swim Conditioning & Therapy

  • SWIM CONDITIONING & THERAPY IN FACILITY'S EQUINE POOL

  • One full stall cleaned daily

Equine Requirements

  • All horses are required to have a valid health certificate no older than 72 hours.

  • A valid flu/rhino, rabies and strangles vaccine must be administered no less than 7 days no more than 90 days old.

  • A current Coggins within 1 year must be on file in our office

  • A signed boarding agreement must be in our office prior to the horse's arrival.

  • Hoof Issues - bruising, abscesses, founder, specialty farrier care, keratomas

  • Arthritis

  • Fractures

  • Cushings/Metabolic issues

  • Post operative care - fractures, colic, infection, cancer/tumors

  • Soft Tissue Injuries - tendons, suspensory issues

  • Top line strengthening

  • Lacerations

  • Administering medications

  • Specialized wrapping

  • Rescue cases (abuse, starvation, etc)

  • Neurologic Disorders

  • Specialized Medication

  • Eye Injuries - SPL lines, Enucleation

  • Horses needing time off

  • Bone bruising

  • Wind surgeries (tie back, scoping, etc.)

  • Condition race horses to prepare for breezing

  • Conditioning of show horses

  • Custom Supplemental and nutritional programs

We will work closely with your appointed veterinarian or choose to work with ours. 

New Bolton Center provides weekly visits to our facility.

Close proximity to Mid Atlantic Equine, New Bolton Center (6 miles from NBC)

Shipping available for horses required to ship back and forth to clinics/hospital.
